Lacrosse Falls at Home to Marquette, 18-5

YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University lacrosse team dropped its final home non-conference game of the 2023 regular season Friday, March 24, as visiting Marquette University scored an 18-5 decision over the Eagles at Scicluna Field. The Eagles (1-6) were led by Mackenzie Blackwell (North Beach, Md.-Northern) and her two goals, marking the fourth time this year she recorded multiple goals in a game, while the Golden Eagles (8-1) have now won five in a row and their third against Mid-American Conference teams.

How It Happened
The first quarter saw the Golden Eagles score first as Shea Garcia found the back of the net to put Marquette up, 1-0, at the 10:50 mark.
