YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) -- Behind a balanced scoring attack that saw seven different players score at least one goal, the Eastern Michigan University lacrosse team secured its first program win Tuesday, March 7, as the Eagles claimed a 12-7 victory over visiting Delaware State University at Scicluna Field. The Eagles (1-2) used a seven-goal run early in the game to build an 8-1 lead before holding off a late charge from the Hornets (2-3) for the win.

How It Happened
The Eagles claimed their first lead in program history as Avery Schwab (Dublin, Ohio-Dublin Scioto) opened the scoring just over 90 seconds into the game before the Hornets tied things up at 1-1 with 11:13 remaining in the first.
