CLEVELAND, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) – After playing a key role in the Eastern Michigan University softball team's four wins last week, junior Michelle Kriegshauser (New Lenox, Ill.-Lincoln Way Central) was named Co-Mid-American Conference West Division Player of the Week. The league office's announcement, April 18, marked the third time an Eagle has earned the award this season and second career accolade for Kriegshauser.
Kriegshauser led the Eagles' offensive effort over the course of the week. Hitting .563 at the plate with an .812 slugging percentage, the New Lenox, Ill. product finished the week with a team-best nine hits, three of which were of the extra base variety.
