INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (EMUEagles.com) - Eastern Michigan University senior Kendall Valentin (Holmdel, N.J.-Holmdel) of the gymnastics team was selected as one of the 29 women's winter sport recipients of the NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship, which recognizes student-athletes with plans on attending graduate school for their athletic and academic achievements, along with their work in the community and demonstrated leadership.
"I'd like to thank the NCAA and EMU for the support in my pursuit of a career in medicine," said Valentin. "I am excited for the next step in my journey and to help people follow their passions, as many physicians have helped me pursue mine in gymnastics.
