CLEVELAND, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) — Eastern Michigan University sophomore punter Jake Julien (Barrie, Ontario, Canada-North Collegiate) was named Mid-American Conference West Division Special Teams Player of the Week for the period ending Oct. 7 the league office announced Monday, Oct. 8.
The honor is the third weekly MAC accolade of Julien's career, while it is the sixth of the season for the Eagles. Additionally, it is the second consecutive week that the sophomore has earned the award.
Julien registered five punts in a 27-24 loss at Western Michigan tallying 242 yards, with four of his kicks pinning the Broncos inside their 20-yard-line.
