KANSAS CITY, Mo. (EMUEagles.com) – Eastern Michigan University defensive end Jose Ramirez (Lake Alfred, Fla.-Auburndale-Arizona-Riverside City) was selected by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the sixth round of the 2023 NFL Draft Saturday, April 29, outside of Union Station in Kansas City, Mo. Ramirez, the 196th overall pick of the draft, is the 31st EMU player to be picked in the draft since 1955.
Ramirez joins teammate Sidy Sow (Bromont, Quebec-J-H Leclerc-Champlain Lennoxville), who was previously selected in the fourth round (117 th overall) by the New England Patriots.
