YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — Jerone Steckel, the defensive line coach at Southeast Missouri State University, has been named an assistant football coach at Eastern Michigan University, Head Coach Chris Creighton announced today, Feb. 7. Steckel will serve as EMU's defensive tackles coach.
"Coach Steckel is a great fit for our program," said Creighton. "He brings both a passion and an expertise for interior defensive line play. We love his energy and his football story. He will make us better, we are glad he is here."
Steckel has college coaching experience at SEMO, Missouri State University as well as Central Michigan University.
