YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — Eastern Michigan University junior defensive lineman Jeremiah Harris (Lambertville, Mich.-Bedford Senior) was named the Mid-American Conference West Division Defensive Player of the Week for the period ending Sept. 30. It marks the third time in his career he has won the award, and the fourth time this season an EMU student-athlete has taken home a weekly conference accolade.
Harris registered career-highs with 3.5 tackles for loss and two sacks in a 24-20 loss at the University of Kentucky. Harris racked up a team-best 3.5 TFL for a total of 15 yards, while he added in two sacks, including a strip sack on the first play from scrimmage.
