YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — Eastern Michigan University junior basketball player James Thompson IV (Baton Rouge, La.-Parkview Baptist) was named the Mid-American Conference West Division Player of the Week for the period ending Feb. 18. It is the second time Thompson has won the award this season, and the fourth weekly MAC award of his career.
A week after joining the exclusive 1,000 point, 1,000 rebound club, Thompson helped lead Eastern Michigan University to its first 2-0 week in conference play. The junior opened up the week with a 14-point, 14-rebound performance in the Eagles' 58-57 win over Miami, where he also added four blocks and a steal.
