KANSAS CITY, Mo. (EMUEagles.com) – Eastern Michigan University men's basketball freshman James Thompson IV (Baton Rouge, La.-Parkview Baptist) was named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) All-District 14 Second Team Friday, March 25. Thompson was the only freshman to earn a spot in district 14, while also being the first Eagle selected to an NABC team since Brandon Bowdry and Carlos Medlock both earned the honor following the 2009-10 campaign.
Thompson was named the Mid-American Conference Freshman of the Year after averaging 14.8 points per game and a conference high 10.
