INDIANAPOLIS (EMUEagles.com) - The NCAA announced today, Nov. 11, that redshirt senior Hlynur Andresson (Vestmannaeyjar, Iceland-Mountain Ridge) of the Eastern Michigan University men's cross country team received an at-large bid to the upcoming NCAA Championships, Nov. 18.

The qualification comes one day after Andresson's strong performance at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional, Nov. 11. Andresson was near the front of the pack throughout the entire race, as he ultimately crossed the finish line just six seconds after the regional champion to claim second place.

Andresson continues the trend of Eagles who have won the individual MAC title and went on to qualify to the NCAA Championships.
