KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- Tucker Haymond scored 26 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead Western Michigan to an 88-80 victory over Eastern Michigan on Saturday.
It was Haymond's second straight double-double for the Broncos (11-15, 7-7 Mid-American Conference), who have won four straight and five of their last six games. Eastern Michigan (13-14, 5-9) has lost six in a row.
Haymond was 8 of 11 from the floor and made 10 of 11 free throws. Thomas Wilder added 14 points for Western Michigan, which shot 51 percent (28 of 55) from the floor and made 24 of 32 (75 percent) from the line.
