AUGUSTA, Ga. (EMUEagles.com) – Junior Penelope Guilleux (Saint Maur Des Fosse, France-Arsonval) improved two shots during the final round Sunday, March 18, but still had to settle for a 44th-place finish at the 3M Augusta Invitational at the par 72, 6,248-yard Forest Hills Golf Club.
Overall, EMU posted a 54-hole score of 928 (310-304-314), to finish in 14th. Georgia expanded its lead in the win with 291 for a three-day total of 864. No. 21 Purdue and August finished nine strokes back with a score of 873 in second.
Guilleux collected her fifth top-50 showing of the year in the star-studded field.
