CLEVELAND, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) - Four student-athletes of Eastern Michigan University men's cross country team earned Academic All-Mid-American Conference honors, the league office announced Thursday, Dec. 6. A total of 46 student-athletes were named to this year's men's team.
The Academic All-MAC honor recognizes student-athletes who excel in both athletics and in academics. To qualify, student-athletes must have a 3.2 cumulative grade point average and run in at least 50 percent of contests.
Receiving the honor for the Eagles were: junior Austin Wicker (Pinckney, Mich.-Pinckney), and sophomores Ian Cook (Worthington, Ohio-Thomas Worthington), Solomon Costa (Gahanna, Ohio-Gahanna Lincoln), and Phoenix Myers (Wattsburg, Pa.
