YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) - The Eastern Michigan University football program announced Wednesday, Jan. 3, the addition of quarterback Tyler Wiegers (Lake Orion, Mich.-Detroit Country Day-Iowa) as a graduate transfer from the University of Iowa. Wiegers (pronounced WEE-gers) will be eligible to compete for the Eagles this fall.
A four-star recruit in high school, Wiegers spent the past four seasons at Iowa (2014-17) and graduated in December with a degree in human physiology.
"We are definitely excited about Tyler coming back to the great state of Michigan to join our program," said EMU Head Coach Chris Creighton.
