CLEVELAND, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) — After a strong 2021-22 campaign for the Eastern Michigan University men's golf program, senior Ty Celone (Long Sault, Ontario, Canada-St Joseph's Catholic) earned all-league honors as the Mid-American Conference unveiled its 2022 MAC Men's Golf awards Friday, May 6.
Celone was selected Second Team All-MAC by the league's head coaches after leading the Eagles' scoring efforts throughout the season with a 72.82 stroke average.
Overall, Celone is just the 22nd different EMU student-athlete to earn a spot on an All-MAC team. Furthermore, he becomes the first Eagle since Brian Churchill-Smith (2011-12) to garner the accolade twice in a career.
