EMU Women's Cross Country Places Fourth at Commodore Classic

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (EMUEagles.com) — The Eastern Michigan University women's cross country team finished fourth out of 17 total teams at the Commodore Classic, Saturday, Sept. 16, in Nashville, Tenn. EMU saw two harriers finish within the top-five in the form of senior Jordann McDermitt (Davison, Mich.-Davison) and redshirt senior Alsu Bogdanova (Kazan, Russia-Lyceum #83).

McDermitt led the Green and White, placing second in 17:29.3, which was only topped by Missouri's Karissa Schweizer, who set a new record time for the event. Bogdanova placed fifth with a time of 17:36.
