CLEVELAND, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) - The Eastern Michigan University track & field program tabbed 26 student-athletes to the Mid-American Conference's Academic All-MAC team, the league office announced today, June 9. A total of 70 student-athletes were named to the men's team while 195 were named to the women's squad.
The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport.
Central Michigan paced the women's side with 27 honorees, followed by Kent State (24), and Toledo (19).
