EMU Track & Field Continues to Impress at Raleigh Relays

RALEIGH, N.C. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University track & field program saw its distance runners excel on the second day of the Raleigh Relays tonight, March 15, on the Paul Derr Track.

Junior Faith Rono (Eldoret, Kenya-Middle Tennessee State) showcased her athleticism in the 5000m, crossing the finish line in a personal-best time of 16:38.89. The effort places her sixth all-time in school history. Meanwhile, sophomore Esme Davies (Lake District, England-Queen Elizabeth Grammar School) had a solid outing in her first collegiate outdoor meet where she also competed in the 5000m race, sporting a 17:24.
