AKRON, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) -- The Eastern Michigan University track & field program displayed a strong performance at the Akron Quad Meet tonight, Jan. 14, inside the Stile Athletics Field House. There, both teams took home the win with men topping Akron, 163-123, and the women beating the Zips, 165-156.
Graduate student Taige Bryant (Edmond, Okla.-Edmond Memorial) outdid himself yet again in the weight throw, besting his school-record toss of 22.56m with a launch of 22.85m. For Bryant, his 22.85m throw currently ranks second in the nation and first in the Mid-American Conference.
