EMU Throwers Highlight Day One of Jesse Owens Classic

COLUMBUS, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) – The throwers of Eastern Michigan University had a great showing at the Jesse Owens Classic today, April 15, at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium.

Senior Kadian Clarke (Kingston, Jamaica-Immaculate Conception) broke the 60m-plateau in the hammer throw, achieving a mark of 60.77m, the best throw by a collegiate competitor in the event. The veteran thrower is the only Eagle in team history to surpass 60 meters and is currently one of two student-athletes in the Mid-American Conference to do it.
