ANN ARBOR, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University rowing team raced against the University of Michigan, Sunday, Sept. 17, in exhibition action on Belleville Lake. The two squads participated in four 3000-meter pieces, giving the Eagles the opportunity to gain experience before officially opening the season next month.

"Michigan was strong as expected," Head Coach Kemp Savage said. "We did a good job with our effort on the first two pieces, but were not very clean. We did a much better job focusing on our technique on the last two 3Ks but were a little too fatigued.
