The Eastern Michigan athletic department is planning to upgrade and renovate the athletic facilities and the renovation is set to cost $35 million.
Officials from the department have said that $9 million have been raised with $6 million coming from a single donor. The rest of the funds are yet to be determined for the project.
One of the plans for the changes includes the outdoor track at Rynearson Stadium to be removed. The new location would be around the soccer fields which will be re-adjusted.
The current football building where the locker rooms are is being planned to be destroyed and have a 70,000 square-foot indoor facility to be built.
