CLEVELAND, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) - The Eastern Michigan University men's and women's indoor track and field team once again led the way among its peers, as 33 student-athletes were named to the Mid-American Conference's Academic All-MAC team, the league office announced today, April 4.
Eastern Michigan's 33 representatives are the most from a single institution within the conference. A total of 212 student-athletes from the MAC's 12 schools were honored.
The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport.
