Eastern Michigan’s men’s swimming and diving team took the pool for the first time in the New Year, where they would split a couple of dual meets against Purdue University and Ball State University.
Eastern Michigan (3-2, 1-0 MAC) fell to the Purdue Boilermakers, 128-109 after having had five Eagles record season-best performances. EMU then headed to Ball State where the Eagles would win 14 of the 16 events, claiming its first MAC victory of the season, 168-118.
Against the Boilermakers, Freshman Tom Gillis had a season-best performance scoring 298.20 in the 1-meter Dive, which was enough for a first place finish.
