YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — The Eastern Michigan University Department of Athletics will implement a clear bag policy for all athletic events in 2016-17, the school announced today, Aug. 9. The move is to provide a safer environment for the public and to expedite fan entry into stadiums.
The new EMU policy is consistent with what the NFL and other professional organizations have done for the past several years. The policy is also in line with what numerous institutions around the Mid-American Conference and the country are putting into place this year.
Only clear tote bags smaller than 12 inches by 6 inches by 12 inches or one-gallon plastic freezer bags will be allowed inside Rynearson Stadium and other athletic venues on the EMU campus this year.
