EMU Falls to Oakland After Comeback Bid Falls Short, 86-81

ROCHESTER, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University men's basketball team mounted a tremendous comeback effort Friday, Dec. 22 at Oakland University, erasing an 18-point second half deficit, but ultimately fell short 86-81 at the Blacktop at the O'Rena.

Trailing by 16 with 4:35 to go in the game, the Eagles cut the deficit to three with just over a minute to go. In the end, the Golden Grizzlies cashed in from the charity stripe, connecting on 14-of-14 from the free throw line in the second half, to put the game on ice.

Four players notched double-digit scoring efforts in the game, led by a career-high 25 points from Paul Jackson (Stone Mountain Ga.
