EMU Drops Home Affair against Buffalo, 3-1

YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) -- The Eastern Michigan University volleyball team fell to the University at Buffalo, 3-1 (25-27, 25-23, 23-25, 16-25), today, Oct. 29, inside the Convocation Center.

The loss dropped Eastern Michigan's record to 8-15 overall and 3-9 in Mid-American Conference action.

The Eagles were led by a double-double from sophomore Samantha Basham (Granville, Ohio-Newark), who registered 19 kills and 10 digs on the day. Redshirt sophomore Raeven Chase (Toronto, Ont.-Michael Power St. Joseph Catholic) also added 16 kills to help the offense. On the defensive end, sophomore Kamryn Stilwell (Parma, Ohio-Padua Franciscan) chipped in for EMU with 23 digs to go with a career-high six blocks from freshman Makayla Smith (Portage, Mich.
