YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — Eastern Michigan University Head Baseball Coach Mark Van Ameyde has announced that the third annual Lead Off Dinner will take place Saturday, Feb. 11, beginning at 6 p.m. in the Convocation Center Atrium. Former EMU baseball player and retired veteran Major League Baseball umpire Rocky Roe will serve as the keynote speaker for the event.
The event will help the EMU baseball team fund its spring trips, as well as other projects to help enhance the team's performance throughout the season. The Oestrike Distinguished Alumni Award will also be presented to its newest recipient, Brandon White, during the event.
