YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) - The Eastern Michigan University Department of Athletics announced today that EMU men's and women's swimming and diving student-athletes have received a $5,000 challenge gift from The Arm of Honor Alumni Association.
The gift will support the Olympic Dreams of seven student-athletes (five men and two women) whom have qualified for the 2016 Olympic Trials, being held this June through early July. Every gift made between now and July 1 to the swimming and diving teams will be matched up to $5,000 by the Arm of Honor.
"As President of the Arm of Honor Alumni Association, we are pleased to offer this challenge in support of this excellent team of EMU student athletes," stated Arm of Honor President Phil Riggio.
