CLEVELAND, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) — For the second consecutive year, the Eastern Michigan University football team saw eight of its student-athletes named to All-Mid-American Conference Teams, the league office announced Wednesday, Nov. 29. The eight selections are tied for third-most in program history, with the 1986, 1988, 1996, and 2016 teams also posting the same amount of honorees.
Senior wide receiver Sergio Bailey II (San Diego, Calif.-Olympian-Grossmont College) became the first EMU offensive player since Eric Deslauriers in 2006 to earn a first team selection. The sophomore tandem of defensive lineman Maxx Crosby (Colleyville, Texas-Colleyville Heritage) and defensive back Brody Hoying (Coldwater, Ohio-Coldwater) also became the first EMU defensive pair since 2007 to pick up first team accolades.
