OXFORD, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University women's swimming and diving team qualified eight for the championship heats Thursday morning, Feb. 23, at the Mid-American Conference Championships in Oxford, Ohio. The morning session included 15 career-bests.
Junior Sarah Dombkowski (Canton, Mich.-Plymouth) and sophomore Nicole Swartz (Dayton, Ohio-Centerville) fueled the Eagles in the preliminary races for the 500 freestyle, as each Eagle turned in a career-best. Dombkowski was the top finisher for the Green and White, clocking in with a career-best of 4:50.39, to rank third ahead of Thursday night's finals heat.
