Eastern's Season Ends With Heartbreaking Semifinal Defeat to Kent State

AVON, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University baseball team came up just short in its bid for a Mid-American Conference Tournament championship game appearance in a 4-2 defeat to top-seeded Kent State University late Saturday night, May 28, at All Pro Freight Stadium. The Eagles conclude their season with a 23-36 record, and their first semifinal appearance since 2011.

Eastern had a fantastic start from junior Kevin Shul (Albuquerque, N.M.-Albuquerque Academy (College of Southern Nevada) who took a no decision after pitching a career-high five innings, while only giving up one unearned run and striking out a career-high three hitters.
