(EMUEagles.com) – Battling through wet conditions, the Eastern Michigan University softball team dropped a non-conference bout against the University of Notre Dame, Tuesday, March 27 at Melissa Cook Stadium. EMU's (4-22, 0-3 MAC) defensive miscues proved costly in the 6-1 loss to the Fighting Irish (21-10, 5-2 ACC).
At the plate, the Green and White struggled to connect as they were outhit, 9-2. Senior Haley Hostetler (New Haven, Ind.-Wodlan) and junior Olivia Logan (Riverview, Mich.-Riverview) each produced a hit, while junior Amanda Akles (La Habra, Calif.
