Eastern Michigan's Ninth-Inning Comeback Falls Short Sunday

YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) --The Eastern Michigan University baseball squad put together a ferocious comeback, scoring four runs in the ninth inning, but the late-game rally came up short as Eastern fell to Western Michigan University, 6-4, Sunday afternoon inside Oestrike Stadium.

Sophomore Nick Chittum (Grosse Ile, Mich.-Grosse Ile) (0-1) started and took the loss on the mound for Eastern Michigan (10-15, 6-6 MAC). Freshman Dom Anderson (Hagerstown, Ind.-Hagerstown) was a bright spot out of the bullpen, going 2.1 shutout innings while allowing only one hit, walking none, and striking out one.
