YPSILANTI, Mich. -- Elijah Minnie and James Thompson IV combined to score 39 points and Eastern Michigan completed a sweep of its four-game home stand to start the season, turning away winless Howard 76-66 on Saturday.
Minnie hit 5 of 11 from the field and 9 of 10 from the free throw line to put up 21 points. Thompson finished with 18 points and 14 rebounds to notch his fourth double-double of the season. Paul Jackson finished with 16 points and dished out six assists.
Howard now has lost four straight on a grueling road trip that saw the Bison lose at George Washington, Indiana and Gonzaga before stopping at Eastern Michigan.
