CLEVELAND, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) — The Eastern Michigan University tennis team claimed both Mid-American Conference weekly honors, the league office announced Wednesday. Feb. 3. Redshirt freshman Emma-Lou Pommiers (Aire-sure-I'Adour, France-Saint Dominique Pau) earned MAC Singles Player of the Week and the doubles pairing of redshirt freshman Isabelle Popma (Staphorrst, Netherlands-Center for Sports and Education) and redshirt junior Vasavi Ganesan (Tamil Nadu, India-Algappa Matriculation School) were named MAC Doubles Team of the Week.
Pommiers had a strong start start to the 2021 season, earning two singles wins in back-to-back matches.
