YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – In a tale of two halves, the Eastern Michigan University soccer team saw a halftime lead slip away as the University of Dayton scored three times in the final 45 minutes to hand EMU (1-3-0) a 3-1 setback Sunday, Aug. 26, at Scicluna Field.
Senior goalkeeper Kaylin Williams (Kansas City, Mo.-Winnetonka) made a season-high seven saves in the loss. Meanwhile, redshirt sophomore Sabrina McNeill (Whitby, Ontario-Henry Street) scored her first goal of the season, and the seventh of her career.
McNeill broke the scoreless tie in the 33rd minute, using her strong footwork to create enough separation for her to drill a shot into the back of the net.
