Early Lead for Eagles Not Enough Against Butler

CHICAGO (EMUEagles.com) – Despite an early lead, the Eastern Michigan University baseball team ultimately fell, 6-2, to Butler University Saturday afternoon, April 1, at Cougar Stadium on the campus of Chicago State University. The Eagles (7-18) led 2-0 through two, but the Bulldogs (18-7) scored six unanswered to take the game.

The Eagles tallied eight hits in the contest, spread among seven players. Highlighting the day was senior Jeremy Stidham (Colorado Springs, Colo.-Sand Creek (Colby C.C.)) who blasted a solo home run in the first inning, his third of the season, which ties for the team lead.
