East Lansing, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University men's cross country team kept the 2016 season rolling today, Sept. 16, running at the Spartan Invitational in East Lansing, Mich. As a team, the Eagles took home a second-place finish with 42 points, which was 13 points behind Michigan State, and 10 points better than third-place Miami.
A total of seven veteran Eagles made their season debuts today at the 8,000-meter race, highlighted by three harriers who finished within the top-15. Redshirt junior team captain Hlynur Andresson (Vestmannaeyjar, Iceland – Mountain Ridge) had a fantastic season-opening race, clocking in at 25:00 to finish fourth out of more than 400 runners.
