YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) -- The Eastern Michigan University track & field teams return to action this weekend for the Grand Valley State University Snowdown Showdown in Allendale, Mich. The meet will begin Friday, Feb. 5 at 6:30 p.m. and wrap-up competition Saturday evening, Feb. 6 inside the Kelly Family Sports Center.
For the Green and White, this is its second trip to Allendale, Mich. this season. EMU's first trek to Ottawa County came on Jan. 23, when the Eagles participated in the Mike Lints Alumni Open. At the meet, redshirt sophomore Ronald Brandal (Huron, Ohio-Huron) set a new career-high in the mile with a 4:12.
