(EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University men's basketball team opened Mid-American Conference play Tuesday night, Jan. 3, with a dominating 85-63 victory over Central Michigan University. The win marked Head Coach Rob Murphy's 100th career victory at EMU, becoming just the fourth bench boss to accomplish the feat.
The Eagles (9-5, 1-0 MAC) finished the game 30-of-69 (43.5 percent) from the floor while sinking five shots from beyond the arc. The squad controlled the boards throughout the game as well owning a 48-38 edge on the glass, including 19 offensive rebounds.
