YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — Heading into its second weekend of the championship season, the Eastern Michigan University tennis team returns to action for a Sunday, Jan. 22, matchup with Michigan State University. The match is scheduled for 10 a.m. at the MSU Indoor Tennis Facility.
Eastern Michigan is no stranger to facing their in-state rival, Michigan State. The Green and White has met with the Spartans on 38 occasions, winning just five of them. The Eagles' last victory over the Spartans came during the 2004 campaign when EMU knocked off Michigan State, 4-3, Feb. 6. Last year against MSU, Eastern dropped a 5-2 decision in East Lansing, Mich.
