Samson Evans carries for career-high 257 yards to lead the way

TEMPE, Ariz. (EMUEagles.com) - Samson Evans' (Crystal Lake, Ill.-Prairie Ridge) career night on the ground led the Eastern Michigan University football team to a 30-21 victory at Arizona State University Saturday, Sept. 18. Evans, who ran for 257 yards on 35 carries, recorded his first career 100-yard game while helping the Eagles (2-1, 0-0 MAC) to their first all-time win against a member of the Pac-12 Conference.

Samson, who came into the game with a career-best 89 yards rushing he accumulated earlier this season against Eastern Kentucky University, finished with a tie for the third-most rushing yards in a single game, equaling the mark of Bronson Hill, who rushed for 257 against Ohio University, Oct.
