MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (EMUEagles.com) -- Eastern Michigan University's tennis team completed day two of its 2016-17 campaign's opening weekend at the Gopher Invitational, hosted by the University of Minnesota. The day began with doubles action were EMU came away with a pair of victories, but the Green and White were unable to grab a victory in singles play.
Beginning with doubles play with Andrea Martinovska (Plzn, Czech Republic-Sport and Management School) and Marie Mayerova (Krmelin, Czech Republic) falling, 6-2 to Minnesota's AnnMarie Emme and Camila Vargas Gomez before a 6-2 victory over San Jose State's Miyo Kobayashi and Diane Flament.
