EVANSTON, Ill. (EMUEagles.com) -- The Eastern Michigan University tennis team completed day one of the Wildcat Invitational Friday, Sept. 30. The Eagles traveled to Evanston, Ill. to take part in the tournament hosted by Northwestern University and came away with a trio of victories in the first day of competition.
In doubles play, junior Andrea Martinovska paired up with sophomore Marie Mayerova for a pair of matches. The Czech Republic natives dropped a tight opening match to Adorabol Huckleby and Carin Ruenfelt from the University of Iowa, before topping Melika LeBlanc and Georgie Sanders, 6-2.
