(EMUEagles.com) — After an impressive run to open the spring campaign, the Eastern Michigan University men's golf team lost in the Earl Yestingsmeier Match Play final to Drake University Tuesday morning, Feb. 11, by a score of 4-2 on the par 72, 7,153 yard Lake Jovita Golf Course. The fourth-seeded Eagles opened the tournament by defeating No. 5 Loyola University, 4-2, and No. 8 seeded DePaul University, 6-0.
Senior Zach Sudinsky (McKinney, Texas-Boyd-Stephen F. Austin) recorded a perfect 3-0 record in the two-day event. Sudinsky defeated Loyola's Zach Wals, 2&1, before adding a 6&4 win over DePaul's Perry Chong.
