Eagles Falter in Late Inning Loss to Kent State

YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University baseball team dropped game two of the series in late innings by a score of 4-2 to Kent State University in Mid-American Conference action Saturday afternoon, April 15 at Oestrike Stadium. The game was tied from the third until the eighth, when the Golden Flashes (25-10, 8-3 MAC) struck for a pair on Eagle (13-19, 5-3 MAC) miscues.

Despite the loss, the pitching staff was the star of the game for EMU. Starter senior Augie Gallardo (Hemet, Calif.-Hemet (Mt. San Jacinto College) took a no decision after pitching six innings, only giving up one earned run while striking out three.
