Eagles Fall to RedHawks in MAC Opener, 3-1

OXFORD, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University soccer team broke its scoring drought Friday night, Sept. 27, in their Mid-American Conference opener, but ultimately fell to Miami, 3-1, at Bobby Kramig Field.

Miami found the back of the net 10 minutes in to take an early lead, 1-0.

Junior (Whitby, Ontario-Pickering) saw the best first-half chance for the Eagles in the 24th minute. After her first shot was deflected by the RedHawks' goalkeeper, she found the rebound but sent it wide of the goal.

Despite having a 13-to-6 shot advantage on Miami, the RedHawks carried their lead into the break.
