Eagles fall to Michigan, 12-4

Despite two late rallies in the fifth and eighth innings, it wasn’t enough as the Eastern Michigan baseball team lost to the Michigan Wolverines, 12-4, Tuesday night in Ann Arbor.

Leading the way for the Eagles was Brennan Williams, who went 3-for-5 for his 14th multi-hit game of the season.

“We came here a few weeks back and really had a rough time with it on the mound and gave up a bunch of runs,” noted EMU manager Mark Van Ameyde after the game. “Today was better. Mattson’s been throwing well for us. He's beaten Purdue and Michigan State and Notre Dame last week so I was looking forward to him coming out here against Michigan.
